OUR MISSION

Eau Claire Ski Striders purpose is to promote recreational cross-country skiing and citizen racing for adults and youth alike. Simultaneously, our organization supports the development of health, fitness and companionship.

ADULT CROSS COUNTRY SKI LESSONS 2025

The Eau Claire Ski Striders will again be offering free cross country ski lessons to adults. These lessons will take place at Tower Ridge recreation area off County L, east of Eau Claire.

Lessons in both skate and classic will be offered on Sunday Jan 19th from 1-4, Monday Jan 20th from 4:30-6, and Monday Jan 27th from 4:30-6. The Sunday Jan 19th session will include both skate and classic in a small group setting. The two Monday sessions will be skate one night and classic the other in a larger group setting. The Monday sessions are offered through the Kickn Kids youth program.

Please send an Email to boetchera@prodigy.net to let us know you're attending. Also please specify skate or classic technique and your approximate skill level. If you are a beginner, equipment can be rented at Spring Street Sports in Chippewa Falls at a discounted rate. Mention the free adult lessons to receive that rate.

Adult Ski Lesson Cancelation

The adult lessons scheduled for Jan 19th have been canceled because of the forecast for extreme wind chills. The KicknKids program for Jan 20th has also been canceled for the same reason.

We will reschedule if there is interest. Please send an Email to boetchera@prodigy.net if you are interested in rescheduling.
